Congrats to Amber on Becoming an ASHPN Maternal Health and Nutrition Fellow! 

Honghui “Amber” Chang, doctoral student in the Vanden Brink Lab has received the 12-week Association of State Public Health Nutritionists (ASPHN) Health Equity Fellowship!

This fellowship is in collaboration with/funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The mission of ASPHN is to promote public health nutrition, policy, system, and environmental changes, and address maternal and child health and health equity within public health.

Her fellowship research will undertake two projects to identify central knowledge gaps in maternal health and nutrition disparities through a scoping review and create and support nutrition education materials within her placement site, CHAMPions grant (Texas A&M University), to assist capacity building as part of CHAMPions’ community capacity-building objectives.
